Remote Camera Imaging

In December 2021, we collaborated with Dr Shomita Mukherjee of SACON Institute to document the presence and distribution of mammal species within the different micro-habitats at Chadva Rakhal, using remote, motion-triggered cameras. The images reveal that the landscape is utilised by a greater diversity of mammals than previously thought. Added to this is the surprise that certain species - particularly the high diversity of cat species - are sharing the same habitat. The following species were documented with high frequency.
